PlutoPlus running modified PlutoDVB firmware

Post by m0vse » Fri Oct 29, 2021 9:09 pm

Hi all.

I have successfully compiled the latest PlutoDVB firmware together with patches from the creator of PlutoPlus to make a firmware that supports the internal gigabit ethernet port on the PlutoPlus.

All streaming functions appear to work and I can let anybody who is interested have a copy.

I am usually not a fan of Chinese 'Clone' hardware but the PlutoPlus seems to be a significant improvement on the original ADALM Pluto, with a 0.5ppm TCXO, Gigabit Ethernet and opto-isolated PTT, all housed in a sturdy metal case.

Thanks for your work here, I had held off buying a Pluto + because of firmware issues!

May I ask, as you are obviously very familiar with the +, does it have the same issue with boot up RF spikes as the original AD versions please?

Hay Basil,

I would guess yes as its a ripoff the same RF hardware and analog firmware..
I have never tested it, but i hardly notice the problem on my normal pluto's anymore.. But this may be caused by the drivers i use normaly and the big use of PTT out off the pluto's...

Thanks benno, I am a bit paranoid about the spikes!

Phill is not responding on any call, post or mail..
But a simple google search gave me his home blog..
https://www.m0vse.uk/downloads.html

There i found a installation witch i put into the plus..
Its a Perseverance version rip off and it seems to work after some settings...
but my power is jumping up and down..
so there might be some setting or even jumper wrong...

Bedtime for now.
