The Microchip AT86RF215-ZU transceiver chip it uses looks an interesting part.
4MS/S 13 bit IQ transceiver chip that covers ISM bands (including 70 cms) for £4 is not bad.
Unfortunately, the dev boards are £75 each and the chip itself is out of stock at all the usual distributors.
I am not sure why I bothered looking all that up, as I have enough projects already.
