For those of you coming to this having not used OBS before, you need to load an additional plugin to make the virtual camera work (with audio) in OBS.
So make sure that you have the latest version of OBS (currently 26.1.1). Then go to https://github.com/Fenrirthviti/obs-vir ... m/releases and then download the installer for obs-virtualcam 2.0.5. Run the installer, close OBS, restart OBS and then go to Tools, VirtualCam, and make sure that Autostart is ticked. Click start.
Then you can run Dominique's script and it will pick up the video and audio from OBS.
Testing on QO-100 this evening, I was really impressed. Less than 2 seconds round trip delay using the graphics processor built into the CPU in my Intel laptop, Thanks to Colin G4EML for flagging up that capability! And thanks to John G7JTT for helping me with OBS.

Hello,
With the idea of G4EML I adapted the script.
Here is another new "beta" version with bug fixing and choice of harware.
You have to edit the start of the script to choose whether to code with an NVIDIA gpu or an recent INTEL CPU
The compression is a little more efficient with NVIDIA at very low speed but the results are also good with INTEL.
Thank all for you for your tests.

Thanks Dominique, that is very useful.
Your script works equally well when sending directly to a Pluto. I just need to change the IP address to 192.168.2.1:8282

Thanks Dominique for your script.
I have modified it for Vmix external output ...talking to lan pluto or to portsdown.
Tested also on sr35 and sr25. Video was ok but audio had some distortion on these sample rates.
Thanks

Hi all,
Following Dominique idea, I wrote a windows app to configure ffmpeg. This has not been intensevely tested...you may have to load a Microsoft dot net core to run it on your computer.
Let me know if it is usable!
