Re: GB3JV on test
Dave, that's good to hear! Well beyond the expectations I had too!
I was thinking of switching to 3/4 FEC, perhaps its not worth it!
Many thanks
Justin.

Re: GB3JV on test
Sorry off topic but I used to live in Orpington and also spent many a year on the isle of sheppey. Sadly none of this was around in my day. Well done on getting it on air. When I'm up that way next will have to take some gear with me.
All best and good luck John G7JTT
Re: GB3JV on test
It was even louder in North Cray, JO01BK this morning when I dropped off my sister in law. 18dB MER when just using the dish feed!

Re: GB3JV on test
I'll work to get the inputs working, time is short, but I'm making some progress.
I know North Cray, ex-wife's parents used to like at 128 North Cray Road, Opposite that little round house that was owned by a ham called Lyle, I can't remember his call-sign though.
I am still amazed by Sheppey. I'm off to Horsham tomorrow, so I'll spot at Reigate and see what the signal is like there. It was good at Biggin Hill a couple of weeks ago. It does seem the antenna is performing really well.
I might see if I can get a Sky mini-dish for portable reception.

Re: GB3JV on test
Stopped at Reigate Hill today, good signal with the Sat Finder and barefoot LNB standing on the ground, that is about 20 miles away.
