Locking Chinese Knock Off V8 Finders to 550k/symbols

I have one of the cheap DMYCO V8 Finders (you'll find them under various brand names)
Generally if you put a channel in it under 1M/symbol and try to do a scan the receiver won't see anything.
However if you were to instead transmit a DVB-S signal at 1M/sym and scan with your V8 finder, then go back and edit that channel for something lower (in my case 550k/sym) then transmit at that lower symbol rate you'll likely find a similar result I did that the channel does indeed lock.
I know it's no 300k/sym that many are looking for but it is a lower symbol rate than I think most people realized these could do.
