** Help** Octagon LNB (25 Mhz) GPS Mod

Post by glen_turner2002 » Fri Nov 02, 2018 5:28 pm

Hi, My clever TV friends,

I'm looking into setting up a Es'Hailsat station in our club and I'm trying to find info on the LNB the BATC have bought for the monitor station. I'd like to buy an octagon LNB with the Leo Bodnar GPS locked frequency reference but I'm struggling to find any info.
I need to find where to buy the 25Mhz LO LNB and the info to do the modification.

Can anyone help me please? Maybe give me a few links to the info?

Thank You...

Hi Glen

We do, but a considered reply takes time and research...

The dual output LNBs are currently available on eBay; search on this number: 192108842161

The article "Locking the Octagon PLL LNB to an external reference" on page 36 of CQ-TV 261 describes exactly what you are trying to achieve. As a BATC Member, you are able to download the complete magazine, including this article, from the BATC website once you have logged in.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the info Dave and Mike. I did look mike but i musn't be as good as you when it comes looking through lots of info. It all tends to blur into one when i have to trawl through message boards. Perhaps it's dyslexia I don't know...

I will look at the links you sent, Thank you for your time.

Hi Glen

Look at http://www.df9np.de/Contents/TVSat_LNB.pdf
This is probably the best mod currently available.
Search "octagon twin" on ebay to buy one.

With the help from everyone It's becoming clearer now what's required. Hopefully i should be able to get a dish up ready for receiving Es'hail Sat within the next few weeks.
