I'm trying to install the newest version of the windows software. I had an older version running on my old laptop but can't get it installed on this laptop. I'm getting "MSVCR120.DLL NOT INSTALLED" I remember having this issue before but for the life of me I'm not able to figure out how to get it installed. Google hasn't helped. I thought I might be able to copy the DLL from my old system and paste it into the Express directory but no luck. Your suggestions please.

Have you looked in the notes file that comes with the distribution?

I have the same error message after installing the suggested software.

(3) You will also probably have to install the VC++ 2015 re-distributable (32 bit version)

Two files are not found MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll

Checked the system32 folder and both are present.

Hi Steve,
I Googled the problem and it seems that it is because the re-distributable is not installed.
All I can suggest is that you re-run the Microsoft installation program as I suspect some
symbolic links have not been setup. It must be the 32 bit version not the 64 bit version.

Running the re-distributable in repair mode has solved the problem. Given that Windows 10 and the Visual C++ files were a fresh install on Sunday I'm a bit surprised.

So I've given your new beta software a quick preview with Pluto; results using DVB-S2 are very impressive.

Thanks Steve, I'll give the repair option a try because the DLL file is installed on my laptop and I still get the error.

At the risk of resurrecting an old thread...

I've just had to reinstall win10 on my tablet which drives datv express.
I have rtfm and still get the missing mscv120 dll message when trying to run the software.

A previous version of the software 1.23 doesn't give the same problem.
Have tried repairing and reinstalling the 32 bit version of 2015VC++ with exactly the same results.

Any suggestions?

Hi Ian,

I had a similar problem when a Windows update went wrong and had to reinstall Windows 7.

The problem was the redistributables but I ended up having to install previous versions before the 2015 one. I also installed the 64bit and 32bit files. I'm not sure which one actually solved the problem but it worked for me...hi.

In the end it was the 32 bit version of vc++ distributable 2013 that made it work for me on a fresh windows install.
Hope this helps anyone elser in the same poition. Ian.
