Express_DVB_Transmitter software install

Hello,

my name is Matthias, callsign is DD1US. I am new into DATV TX and would like to use my LimeSDR USB (not mini) to transmit on 23cm and 13cm bands.

I have SDR-Console running fine with the LimeSDR, so the USB3 connection and driver from the Laptop to the LimeSDR seems to be fine.

Presently I am running version 1.25 of "DatvExpressTransmitter" dated from June 20th 2017 on my Windows 7 64bit laptop.

It recognizes the LimeSDR and is indeed transmitting but for instance the "PTT" button and "carrier only" button are both not working / have no effect.

Is there a newer version of DATV Express for the LimeSDR and Windows available ? If so where can I get / download it ?

I would like to make sure I am using the latest version for further tests.

Dear all,

I found the problem: I had the wrong software version and now with 1.25lp11 it runs.

On 23cm I get +12dBm output power and a clean spectrum, on 13cm however only -35dBm.

Is that what is to be expected ?

Hi everybody,

I found my problem on 13cm band: I was still using the TX1L port and should have switched to TX1H. Stupid user error ...

Here is a little summary of my results of the 1st evening trying DATV Express and LimeSDR.

Had the same problem: MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll not found.

I've searched for these files on my PC, found them en have and copied them to the same map where the executable is.
(DatvExpressTransmitter.exe)

Works for me.

I'm just filling my 'new' laptop up with nice software and I've run into this redistribution related error. I've downloaded the 2015 32 bit software but I'm unclear where it actually goes in the Program Files (x86) folder?
Or does it install itself where its supposed to? If the latter, its not working - still getting error messages as above.

Any guidance gratefully recd.....

Hi Gareth

You need to run the Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Runtime package from Microsoft.

Download it from https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downloa ... x?id=48145

Just run the 64bit version and it will look at your OS and install it in the correct location.

Thanks Clive, I've tried that, several times, including 'repair'. Still not happy. Strange as I have managed to install it on other machines without issues.
None of them WIndows 10Pro though.....

You need the 32 bit version of the Redistributable even if you are using a 64 bit machine as the Express software is built as a 32 bit application.

Thanks Charles, I have repeatedly tried both versions, both uninstall and repair, in isolation and in combination. Odd, it worked off the bat in my Win10 Atom powered tablet. (Limited to 250kS). Now I could crunch bigger SR's it won't work....

The only other thing I can suggest is that you try the repair option when installing the Redistributable but I think someone else suggested that.
If you are using Express hardware you might need to re-install the drivers as Windows keeps removing them when it updates.
