Hi,

I just received my ADALM-PLUTO (after waiting 5 months...).

I put my first impressions on my blog (https://vma-satellite.blogspot.pt/2018/ ... ds-on.html), but overall, the most impressive application so far is without doubt DATV-Express! Amazing and this alone makes it worth buying this SDR.

Regards,
Vitor

Hi, folks

Is anyone using the Pluto with a Mac? What SDR software are you using?

I've tried to get GQRX talking to the Pluto, but I'm lost - GQRX installs on the Mac (OSX Lion) does't seem to recognise the Pluto is there. GQRX also won't support TX, so I'm interested in what everyone else's experiences are.

I'm also about to try getting it to work with SDRAngel on a Win 10 setup - any tips/advice before I head down the inevitable blind alley(s) would be welcome :)

Problem

Just got my new ADALM-Pluto today, after 2 months waiting from Mouser
it seems the new version 0.27 firmware, and drivers 0.7 installed
All drivers seem to work, when going to 192.168.2.1 , I can see the Pluto's Webpage
even the Pluto USB drive is seen
Allthough everything is OK, I can not start DATV-Express 1.25p5, I got always error "Adalm-Pluto not found - Error 1005

I forgot to mention, that I Run Windows 10 x64 - 16299.371
Could be the reason, since they use libiio.dll
on SDR# it doesnt surely work

Hello All
Found problem
the USB-IP address in ADALM_PLUTO config file has to be filled in, to 192.168.2.1
the config.txt file is on the USB Flash Drive that comes up when putting in the Pluto
with this settings , it works flawlessly

# Device Configuration File
# Edit, Save and then Eject the USB Drive

[NETWORK]
hostname = pluto
ipaddr = 192.168.2.1
ipaddr_host = 192.168.2.10
netmask = 255.255.255.0

[WLAN]
ssid_wlan =
pwd_wlan =
ipaddr_wlan =

[USB_ETHERNET]
ipaddr_eth = 192.168.2.1
netmask_eth = 255.255.255.0

[SYSTEM]
xo_correction =
udc_handle_suspend = 0

[ACTIONS]
diagnostic_report = 0
dfu = 0
reset = 0
calibrate = 0

Suc6 anyone

Hi All

I have just got my Pluto and set it up. Was able to get DATV-Express to work no problem, great program. I can see it transmit on my rtl-sdr dongle running gqrx waterfall but no video of course. Is there any program for the rtl-sdr that will decode the video or another SDR receiver that can decode the video or maybe an old satellite receiver. I have like 4 of them laying a round? Any advise would be great, thanks.

Charles

I was thinking more in the line of windows program. I did try to install leandvb on my raspberry pi 3 had some errors with my RTL-SDR so I'll try and figure that out. I bought the MiniTiouner-Express and should get it by Saturday. I'll give you a update on how that works out too. Thanks for your help.

Hi all,

Has anyone investigated using both the TX and RX sides of the Pluto to produce a DATV TRX for 13cm, 9cm or 6cm?

...are you sure I can't use a pair of 813's?... :shock:
