Dead Pipo Resurrected

It was fine Thursday night and Windows closed down properly; so Friday morning it came as a surprise when it wouldn't fire up. My optical mouse is usually the first sign there is life; the illuminated roller wheel comes on. Not this time. I'd heard one BATC member had to return one so I felt pretty annoyed.
Better swap the power supply first; there was another close to hand. Same result...nothing. As a last resort I put it on the bench supply and it showed 60ma being drawn; then I remembered the tiny hole in the back panel just above the memory slot. Inserting a small pin I located the switch and held it down while powering up the Pipo; brilliant it came to life.
Worth remembering because the unit will appear completely dead.
