wireless hdmi?

Post by on4bhm » Tue Jun 03, 2014 2:33 pm

Hi,

We all know that Transmitting in datv is expensive.... HD is even more expansive.
But nowadays you can find relative cheap wireless hdmi devices. they work on 5Ghz band.
What i had in mind was this:

on the TX side:
use a wdmi stick--> receive the 5ghz signal with a Kon6-4g7 from dg0ve
Amplify the signal with 23cm PA23-2-2W --> put in into 30m coax to top of mast
than use a MIX6-1mW also from dg0ve + PA6-2-600mW + 5ghz antenna.

on the RX side:
5ghz dish antenna + Kon6-4g7 --> 23cm --> long coax --> 5ghz mixer --> wdmi receiver

Can this be a cheap way of transmitting hdmi signals?
i think the bandwidth is 50Mhz...

but the video lattency is near 0 ... !!!

any comments on this?
