On Saturday, March 8, Piero IØKPT provided streaming video of first ham DATV transmissions as part of the HamTV commissioning process on ISS as they were received by the Matera tracking station in Italy, on BATC web site at
http://www.batc.tv/ch_live.php?ch=4&id=1090 It was available most of Saturday in US.

I notice that the video is no longer streaming on BATC servers. Is it possible to place the Matera video file of the first ISS HamTV transmissions (very good quality) into the FILM ARCHIVE section of www.BATC.TV ? That first DATV transmission video from the International Space Station is iconic and an inspiring testimony to what hams can do together.

Hi Ken,

We would be very happy to do this and can set up a separate category for ISS in the archive, in fact I would prefer rather than putting them on youtube.

I have just emailed the ARISS team to see if they have any recordings of the first transmissions received by Matera that we can up load.

although this footage looks slightly different than the video IØKPT first streamed through BATC servers on March 08?

I agree with you that BATC video archives is a better place than YouTube....or at least good centralized archive location for DATV materials.
