I notice ISS is to transmit DVB-S ATV on 13cm. http://amsat-uk.org/2013/05/12/hamtv-from-the-iss/
I don't yet have any kit for that band, only the DVB-S receiver I usually use on 23cm. I have a down converter that would bring 13cm down to around 23cm. Is that likely to be the best route?

Re: ISS on 13cm
Yes,the down converter is probably the only option as you need to use your sat receiver to decode the DVB-S.

Re: ISS on 13cm
Some receivers are only specced down to 2M symbols/s, so 1.3MS/s (SR1300) may be a problem.

I had missed the symbol rate. Wonder why they chose 1.3Ms/S. It might be difficult to find anything (cheaply) that does.
Would be MUCH more interesting if they took up a complete DATV repeater.......

Re: ISS on 13cm
For anyone building their own receive converters for the ISS these bandpass filters look ideal.
