Hi Gareth,

I bought the one on your link 192108842161, plus a single output from red_apple_av before Xmas.

Both PLL.

Tested all working fine.

Thanks Peter, I must have got a 'warehouse operative' when I asked the question. Turns out its exactly the one I bought a couple of months back, but there is no mention on the box of it being PLL, so I mistakenly assumed that I'd got a eBay 'dud'. Other than the model number OTLSO and 1301 written on the bottom of the Octagon label, nothing else. Have you used it as-is or have you hacked into the PLL crystal?
Thanks
Gareth

Have a modified single, also a twin from a few years back.

I've kept the new single as is, new double modified for L.O up cable on spare port, so now called a "single" lnb with remote L.O.

More work on this soon, so much to do... :-)

Has anyone tried one of these on a Dual Band Patch I wonder?

If you don't/can't machine metal parts, have you seen this? http://www.hybridpretender.nl/

Yes - very nice - but I wish he would drop the almost useless biconical lens and stick with the polymer lens from a rocket style LNB as recommended.

I had a quick 'trial fit' with mine yesterday but couldn't get a decent MER on the beacon (2.5 max, usually 8.5). How important is the frontal protrusion length that takes the Rocket LNB plastic? I set mine so the back lip of the outer cone just touches the 2.4 Patch, making the front copper protrusion 16mm.
As its 'just a lens in the end of a waveguide' I can't see it being an issue so long as the lens is AT the focal point?
My patch is also made from 1.6/16g copper. Too thick?
Thanks

The lens does not sit deep inside the copper pipe, its only in a mm or so, as it was on the original rocket LNB. Your 16mm protrusion seems a lot.
