New 10 GHz LNB

I bought 2 "Goobay" LNB's, done a sweep on a SA and they look pretty good for 10GHz frequencies, 250MHz-1.5GHz range on the SA display, looking at a 10GHz signal (10.250). First picture the marker wasn't on the signal.
These have a 25MHz Crystal, might buy a couple more and mod them,

What is Goobay and how do you order from them? I have been using Ebay but it is a bit hit and miss on these LNBs.

These must be the cheapest PLL LNB's, although you have to factor in the shipping.
I order a lot of components from Reichelt as they work out far cheaper than RS/CPC/Farnell even though those have free shipping!

I've just bought an OTLSO from Ebay and it's the old 27MHz type. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182422603442

I thought that all the old stock would have cleared if they made the change last year. There's a 4 digit code on the LNB. I wonder if that's some sort of batch code that would give an indication of type? This latest one is 1301, whereas the ones I bought last year are 1306.

I wonder what the 4 digit numbers are on 25MHz OTLSO types and where they came from?

Just received one in the post today from eBay and it's 27MHz too.

Have had it running with 27MHz from the Leo Bodnar reference in on one of the F connectors for a couple of hours now and it seems just fine.

On the label on the LNB itself, there's a 4 digit number in the bottom right hand corner. 1301 and 1306 seem to be 27MHz types and 1609 are 25MHz types.

my two 25MHz ones, like yours are labelled 1609, however my 27MHz one is labelled 1304

Yes, the label on the 27MHz one that arrived today is marked 1301 which fits.

Wondering if this sort of thing is likely to be any use - should I get some PCBs made up? Before anyone points it out, I couldn't get the right 3D model for the 90 degree panel mount BNC/F connector and I have not even analysed it yet to see if the design makes any sense.

The idea is to inject 10/25/27 MHz and 12V DC to the LNB and get back the IF, all on one cable. At the LNB end, filter off the 10/25/27 MHz and use it to lock the PLL. I have several surplus PLL LNBs that do this already, all with 10MHz references.

I had similar ideas to this but didn't get round to it yet, very interested here Mike.
Allows us to use just two cables from the shack to lnb, one for datv and one for voice.
