Re: DATV-Express Project - January update report
Not really but you could use graphedit load the capture device then look to see the name of the Capture pin.
I look for a pin with the friendly name "Capture" but on Blackmagic cards the pin is called "Video Capture" so I have to
look for that as well. Maybe they have used a different name and my software is not finding the pin.
The Express Application is 32 bits but happily runs on both my 64 bit machines.

Re: DATV-Express Project - January update report
I have posted a new version of the software.
This one should be easy to break!
New features
Ability to load / save multiple transmitter profiles.
Ability to add new on air formats
Ability to tweak the codec performance
(link deleted, see later message)
The initialisation file name is saved in the Windows registry so the first time you run it it may do something weird.
(Like not have a valid audio capture device)
The datvexpress.txt file is now called datvexpress.cfg (all the profiles must now use the .cfg extension)
This will be the last functional update for a while as all the other features I have been asked to do are not
trivial to implement.

Re: DATV-Express Project - January update report
Thanks Charles,
Is it possible to change the response when run without the express connected to allow settings to be adjusted - e.g. load a dummy express?

Re: DATV-Express Project - January update report
Hi Mike,
Yes I think I can do that provided you are prepared to close the program and
then restart it when you want to connect a real Express.
The change you wanted to disable the sound on RBW will require me to change the PMT
code to remove the sound elementary stream ID, that is why I have not done it yet.
If I just stop sending sound my receiver says "As I am trying to lip sync the sound
I better wait for it before I display any video". Blank screens all round.

Another program update
https://www.dropbox.com/s/97f5g8n9nw3bd ... r.zip?dl=0
Hopefully this will be the last for a while.
This version will start without an Express connected for evaluation, editing profiles etc.
You will need the close and open the program again when Express hardware is connected.
As requested by Mike it is now possible to disable the audio for RBWTV. A sound device still has to be
present though.

Another program update
This new version works nicely on my Win 7 machine.
Trying it on my Pipo X9, when starting the application, I get immediately a pop-up window with a "Configuration Error" message. Can you tell us what trigger this error message ?
Thank you Charles.

Re: DATV-Express Project - January update report
Hello Michel,
Sadly not. It is supposed to tell you the item that has not been configured in the dialogue.
Obviously it has hit a path that has not set the error string.
I would check the capture devices both sound and video. Let me know and I will correct the
error reporting.

Re: DATV-Express Project - January update report
Hello Charles
I'm installed, the program, but when selecting video source, I get a blank Device Format Source.., nothing to select.
In Device, I can choose amongst USB Webcam Logitech E3200, or Integrated Webcam , EasyCap.. HVR-1900 ..
all is recognized, except for the format...
any ideas ?
Tnx ON7MA

Re: DATV-Express Project - January update report
Sorry I have never seen that before. The software just asks Windows what supported devices there are.
Then displays the list that Windows returns.
After you select the device from the device list you then need to click on the format pull down on the right
it is only at that point the list is populated.

Re: DATV-Express Project - January update report
OK Charles
it seems that it could be a language question
We are running Dutch version of windows 10
Some guys running the both, dont have this problem on ENG versions.
On Vmix it works.
Tnx
