Gary Pierce KN4AQ of HamRadioNow videos on ham radio is trying to raise $10,000 (via Kickstarter) to attend and video-tape-for-podcasts the Technical presentations at this year’s TAPR Digital Communications Conference (DCC). It cost money to prepare those podcasts.
“So the deal is simple: we [HamRadioNow] meet our goal, we head to Seattle and produce the video. We don't meet our goal: we stay home.” The deadline for this Kickstarter is Sept 02.
I find these podcasts on the internet by HamRadioNow very useful. I have enjoyed the presentations provided on past DCC presentations…and also used some pod-casts on various topics for radio club meeting presentations. But Gary is only 20% of the way to his goal. See funding progress in link below.

HamRadioNow KickStarter for DCC is Over the top....!!!!
Gary KN4AQ of HamRadioNow writes "With a pledge from a third Corporate Underwriter, we've reached the $12,000 goal for the extended trip. Next I give the bad news to my freelance clients (they're used to it). So once again, thank you!
The Corporate Underwriters aren't obvious from the backer list, so I'll tell you that they are (in order of appearance): TAPR, FlexRadio Systems, and Elecraft......"
I am very pleased that this KickStarer funding succeeded. Gary's plan is to make video files of the talks (perhaps individually) and post them to the internet soon after the DCC is completed and he arrives back home at his editing studio. At that point hams will be able to click and watch a talk of interest to them. This will give world-wide hams an oportunity to have access to technical talks at the Digital Communications Conference...from the convenience of their home QTH.

Re: HamRadioNow trying Kickstarter for TAPR DCC video-covera
Interesting that BATC attends events such as AMSAT and HAB conferences at no charge (although we normally get a donation from the organisation) and we provide the stream facilities at no charge....
The team are all volunteers although we could do with some more volunteers
