Re: FreeStreamCoder Software to Generate Mpeg-TS Streams >> soon V2.72
Hi all
On my desktop PC both "F1EJP-FreeStreamCoder-v02.52.exe" and "IPTV-F1EJP-OBS-v01.16.bat" are running well.
On my laptop (I5 9300 and Nvidia GTX 1660 TI) only "IPTV-F1EJP-OBS-v01.16.bat" is running fine during hours. With FSC I can't get the green light.
Both programs are used in Nvidia mode.
Why ? how is made the test for the green light ?

Bonjour Alain,
Difficult to know each problem but it may be a conflict between the 2 ffmpeg versions installed and if Windows system variables have been declared.
With the old script the path to ffmpeg is: C:\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe
With FreeStreamCoder: C:\F1EJP\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe
Some OM have already had this problem and may be able to confirm.

Hello,
Here is the new version 2.73 (I did not release the 2.72)
> Added GPU support for AMD (Radeon) graphics cards >> I need your test feedback to know if OK
> Improvement in low bit rates by reducing the bit rates occupied by the DVB tables (periodicity)
> We can go down to a very low bit rate of around 59kb / s which allows transmissions in DVB-S2 SR25 or SR20 without audio.
> We can now go up to 8M bandwidth in DVB-T (31Mb / s)
> The choice of 16/9 resolutions has also been increased
> Addition for test of mpeg2 (H262) in soft or hard coding for the INTEL GPU
> Added DVB PID and SID settings
CAUTION for data rates greater than 1Mb / s, a powerful processor is required
If your processor reaches 100% then ffmpeg may crash.
You can do this easily with OBS + FreestreamCoder and Antivirus (you can temporarily disable it)
Thank you again for participating in the test returns

Re: FreeStreamCoder Software to Generate Mpeg-TS Streams >> soon V2.72
Hello Dominique
In my laptop:
- I cleared all my old ffmpeg drawers in C:/
- I cleared the C:/F1EJP drawer
- I install the new 2.73 version and re input all my parameters
And it runs fine
Thanks a lot

Dominique; I wanted to thank you for the latest release of your FreeStreamCoder; 2.73. I am using it with MPEG 2, at 4.167 M/s on my local repeater, GB3UD.
In the past, I have had a major issue with OBS/FFMPEG/Portsdown 4 where static pictures had some breakup. The same pictures sent directly from the Portsdown were perfect. I have spent weeks trying to get the FFMPEG scripts correct, but have never managed to solve the problem. This evening I have installed V2.73, set up the config, and have perfect pictures on my local repeater. I still need to play around to decide whether it is better to use software or Intel hardware encoding, but that is fine tuning.
Many thanks

Re: FreeStreamCoder Software to Generate Mpeg-TS Streams >> soon V2.72
Does FFMPEG support HE AAC? If so, is it possible to add this to your software?
Re: FreeStreamCoder Software to Generate Mpeg-TS Streams >> soon V2.72
Have 2.73 working on MPEG2/4.167 M/S using soft encoding. Absolutely fine. I have tried to use the "Intel" encoding, at the moment without success. Is there a particular level of Intel chip set that is needed for this? Alternative is that I perhaps get a NVIDIA graphics card for the PC, if they are even available at the moment with the current chip shortages?
Any advice welcome.

Current config is:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.9 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Any advice welcome.

Intel encoding is only in recent CPUs, yours looks like it might be too old - depends https://www.intel.co.uk/content/www/uk/ ... ssors.html

Thanks for the information Mike. Just had a look for my exact CPU and, from the links you sent me, it would appear that it has Intel's HD Grapics 530; the first generation to do so.
Re: FreeStreamCoder Software to Generate Mpeg-TS Streams >> soon V2.72
Good news than. In that case it ought to work. However I tried it on my PC with a 9th generation CPU and it doesn't work in H265. It works with the Nvidia GPU though. Intel works with H264. Perhaps a specific driver is required to enable it for H265?
