ATV Testing using FM and DVB-S and DVB-S2

Post by KenW6HHC » Sun Apr 10, 2011 3:04 pm

Hans Hass DC8UE (near Hamburg) has allowed my local OCARC club newsletter to reprint an article comparing signal receptions using several ATV transmission modes.

The TechTalk93 article compares received signals, video, and signal-to-noise results using the same equipment for DVB-S2 and DVB-S and FM. The test range is more than 90 miles.

This well written DATV article is called: “TechTalk93 - DATV – Transmission-Test and Range-Test comparing DVB-S and DVB-S2” and can be found on the OCARC web site at

http://www.W6ZE.org/DATV/

A Deutsche version of the DATV article is also available in the OCARC DATV library.
Hope this information is of interest to the viewers of this forum.
