DATV Express - Windows Software Errors -Solved

Running the latest version of the DATV Express software I'm encountering some problems. In trying to solve them I've installed the software on my Pipo and a laptop; both are running Windows 10 and exhibit the same symptoms. In fact I formatted the Pipo drive and done a fresh install to no avail.

Software is installed at root and I've tried installing and running as admin as well as ordinary user.

Config files have been written for varied settings and named for easy selection e.g. datvexpress437_333ks.cfg. Whenever I load one the performance drop-down menu under Codec/Video is empty. Additionally under the SI Tables menu the original sample text is being picked up from somewhere and added to my new text. See screen grab.

Configuration files are correct in Notepad.

Hope you can cast some light on this issue.

Hi Steve,

I will have a look at it, other people have reported the problem and I have seen it on
some screen grabs.

I am not sure what the issue is as try as I might I can't replicated it myself.

As a work around you may need to manually edit the .cfg files.
It will be to do with how I am extracting the strings from
the edit boxes.

I have figured it out now. Stupid error, a routine used to parse the
configuration file was forgetting to terminate strings correctly.

It should be fixed in the next release.

Thanks Charles; that was very quick. The new version certainly seems to have solved the problems I mentioned.

Even though the posting subject says "DATV Express Server" error...the beta product being discussed is called "Express_DVB-S_Transmitter" software for Windows OS.

This thread problem (bug) was resolved in beta-release v1.10 of Express_DVB-S_Transmitter software (for windows), now available to download at the DATV-Express website at www.DATV-Express.com on the DOWNLOADS page.
