Hi
I am trying to install and run OpenTuner but am struggling to get it to work.
Does it have to be installed using Visual Studio? or is there a windows .exe file anywhere?
If it is using VS can anyone give me a set by step way to install please?
(The ones on the donwnoad site do not give me enough detail)
Many thanks

Installing OpenTuner?
Re: Installing OpenTuner?
Steve
OpenTuner is a standalone application. It does not need VS.
Create a folder in the root of your C: drive such as c:\zr6tg and extract the downloaded archive file into that.
Browse the extracted files to find opentuner.exe.
Double click the file to run the program.
Two windows will open; a debug that can be minimised and the main program window.

You never need to compile OT yourself. Binaries will always be available at https://www.zr6tg.co.za/open-tuner/. I'm working on an installer as well that will let it all install nicely instead of using the archive.

Re: Installing OpenTuner?
Hi
Thanks for the replies - When I unzipped my latest download I could not find an exe file in it - but a previous one labelled 0.9 did have the exe. So extracted it and now have Opentuner running dated 11-02-2024
Thanks Steve G8XPZ

Re: Installing OpenTuner?
I have noticed, extracting large zip files does not always complete all files..
I have extracting opentuner and datvred sometimes misses several files..
2nd try and really let it work will solve the problems..
So unzipping it in a new folder closer to the root might be the cause..
