Re: Open Tuner 0.7 - Dual Tuner/FFMPEG, etc
Hi Tom,
I have been using OT 0.7f Dual mode with Media Player 1 set to FFMPEG and Media Player 2 set to VLC.
Some days it locks up I have to restart OT or it disappears and have to relaunch OT.
I changed to Media Player 1 & 2 set to FFMPEG seems to run faultless.
Next I set Media Player 1 & 2 to VLC after a time lost control of Tuner 2 and had to restart OT.
My PC runs Windows 11 with all its updates.
That's my findings so far.
Hope the information may help.

Re: Open Tuner 0.7 - Dual Tuner/FFMPEG, etc
The dual TS will also work on the minitiouner S- but the Hugh expensive ftd mini module will never fit into the original box.
This made me look for a different solution.
I draw kicad the schematics and an pcb witch fits with only the needed 14 output wires.
I made a 10 piece shipping from china and it seems to be under 15 euro.
So i might have an solution for those who cannot use the batc minitiouner version 2 solution.

Re: Open Tuner 0.7 - Dual Tuner/FFMPEG, etc
I have a question about this.
Could you make a dual Ryde system using one minituner with an extra usb interface connected to 2 x Rpi4s
If so, this could be used as a dual band repeater RX, with a cost saving and more importantly a Serit tuner saving!

Re: Open Tuner 0.7 - Dual Tuner/FFMPEG, etc
Hi Duncan
This would be difficult to implement as all the control for the tuning of the second receiver channel is implemented on the primary USB interface. The status (tuning and SR) of the second receiver channel cannot be controlled through the second USB interface.
This is the way that the Serit Tuner is designed and not something that we can change.
Great idea, but...!

Re: Open Tuner 0.7 - Dual Tuner/FFMPEG, etc
Still, if the control is made trough the first ryde system and the second ryde is only the second transport stream viewer it would be possible..
Decoding 2 H265 Transport streams on 1 raspberry is a not possible due to the cpu limits.
But if you think about the portsdown steaming options this would be an other story.
1 control portsdown and 2 output streams... But the controlling of 2 separate RX channels would be something difficult to GUI...
But than again i know Dave is much to occupied, to accept more portsdown work. and most of us already have multiple receivers installed so what's the need.
