Problem with ZR6TG's Winterhill build after update

Post by PE5PVB » Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:41 am

Hi,

After updating my Winterhill with the latest update from ZR6TG I get a timeout message on all for inputs after a few minutes.

Looking into the screen I also see:
./whlaunch-fixed-3v20.sh: line 3: whlaunch-fixed-3v20.sh: command not found
<>

<27262979>
Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with the ZR6TG version, so I'll let him comment on that.

I assume it was previously working with the standard WH install?

Can you post a picture of the screen showing the timeouts please.

No, I always used his fork of the software because of his player. The previous version worked ok.

When I restart the application (without rebooting the PI4) all works again, but stops after a few minutes.

That timeout should only occur when sending off the subnet that the WH is on, but the timeout should be longer than a few minutes.

What is the IP address of the WH? If it's not on the same subnet as the TS destination shown in the picture, then a timeout will apply. It must be more than a coincidence that my subnet is 192.168.77

Yeah I see, subnet is not correct. I think the configuration is overwritten. I'll check.

Can someone point me where to set the destination address for the Fixed mode?

In the standard version, it's in /home/pi/winterhill/RPi-3v20/whlaunch-fixed-3v20.sh

In that file, line 3

whlaunch-fixed-3v20.sh

should have a # at the front to make it a comment. It would generate an error, but not have any other effect.

#whlaunch-fixed-3v20.sh
