Pi4 Power

Post by G8YTZ » Sat Sep 11, 2021 3:52 pm

Can I confirm if the Pi4 on Winter Hill is powered from the GPIO Pins 2 & 4 (+ve) and 6 (-ve) Any idea what current the Pi4 4MB requires?

Not sure what current it takes as it depends on what it is doing and if anything is plugged into the USB ports. Allowing for 3A is reasonable.

Mike,

perfect! Many thanks. I have a Meanwell 3A PSU to supply it, it will be internal to a repeater exciter.

You might want to adjust the voltage up a bit, e.g. 5.2V. If in repeater pay attention to cooling.
