winterhill case?
Re: winterhill case?
Hi Mike,
No that is my rear panel - I had to turn the case around back-to-front in order to allow sufficient natural light to fall onto it for a photograph.
The front is shown in my earlier posts, but I thought it was "better" to keep the HDMI cable away from the 'routine use' F / RJ45 connections on the front.
Are you/Brian planning any other extra WH add ons as I notice there is a 16 way "Font Panel" unused connector on the PCB?
As for the right angle Micro HDMI lead, I agree, but I was unable to find one that was all these:
a) Micro HDMI one end
b) FEMALE HDMI the other - I want to use a 'standard' HDMI Male-Male lead to my Monitor.
c) Female end with a screwed-in chassis mounting - HDMI plugs require some force to insert and remove.
d) Right angled Micro HDMI
So I used a straight one. Any recommended parts?
Mike

Re: winterhill case?
I think you have a different definition of front and back. Back is the one with the F connectors and USB and power. Front is the one with nothing on it at the moment and nearest to that 16 way connector, which is the same as on the Ryde. However which is which doesn't really matter until we start with the Ryde 2 when I assume the buttons and IR sensor will be on the front. We are thinking about an LCD upgrade but not just yet.
My cable is micro-hdmi right angle one end, male HDMI on the other. The panel mount is female to female and was from Amazon. I got my HDMI cable from Ali Express described as "0.5M 1.5M Cable HDMI-compatible V1.4 Male to HDTV Micro HD 90 Degree Left Right Angle Cable 1080p for HDTV PS3 XBOX 3D LCD" Just over £2.50 with VAT and shipping. The back to back panel mount was this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00QHF3VNK/ ... UTF8&psc=1

Re: winterhill case?
My Printer is currently out of action with a clogged hot end!!
My fault for trying ABS and failing but intend trying to print this...
Its 3mm thick and by looking at PCB and my minitiouner module, I think its about right.
If anyone wants the stl to try it out then PM me and I will provide.
It is not possible to publish here.

Re: winterhill case?
A 3D printed drilling template is very useful..

Re: winterhill case?
Be interested to know if that was done on a 'hobby' mill/CNC (one I could find space for....). Very smart
