Hi Patrice

Charles developed the original capability. I packaged it for release with the Ryde and the Portsdown, so configuration control comes down to me.

Please could you run the following linux command and cut and paste the response here:

Code: Select all

cksum /home/pi/dvbt/CombiTunerExpress
The response should be something like:

Code: Select all

<number> 399116 /home/pi/dvbt/CombiTunerExpress
To check what version you have, I need to know the number in the response.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Patrice

That is the correct file. I suggest that you look at the RF feed to the tuner (using a spectrum analyser, or Portsdown BandViewer) and make sure that there aren't any big signals within 20 MHz or so. It may be that the Pi Hat can handle those and the Knucker can't.

Other than that, I am out of ideas.

Don't the Francophones use a comma for a decimal point? It seems to be working on integer frequency steps. I think this is unlikely but in the early days of my path profile software I came across a similar problem parsing inputs.

Mike

Edit - I should add it was an interesting one to find as the inputs looked OK because they were based on the input string. It was only on doing calculations based on a scan of the input string that things went wrong. However as we enter in kHz this won't happen.

Charles,
Do you agree with the AVL68XXSDK work flow ?

Yes, that is what the SDK does.

The main change we have done is to re-calculate the internal clock frequency for narrower channels.
We have not tried to change any of the scan loops. There was a mistake in the manufacturer's code
for 1.7 MHz. Dave fixed that problem. The other thing we added was support for the FTDI USB chip.

Thank you Charles,

is it possible to have the old version with the original clock to do a test ?

You will have to ask Dave for that.

Patrice

It's here: https://github.com/davecrump/ryde-build ... nerExpress

You'll need to copy it into the correct folder and set it to executable to use it.

Hi Dave,

The Knucker works (1.7MHz BW) with the old version of CombiTuner.
