Knucker at a repeater

Post by g8lce » Tue May 11, 2021 11:15 pm

Is there any plan to produce a 'Ryde' style repeater usable version of Knucker? GB3NQ has a possible 146.5MHz Ryde comming along and we could experiment with DVB-T as well. The control system has a spare slot for a fourth receiver so it could go to a Knucker if the receiver had the same GPIO pins as the Ryde. Signal RX and Hardware Shutdown. Also analogue video or HDMI.

Yes, work is in progress to add support for knucker receivers to Ryde.

The plan is for knucker to be selectable as an extra option in the bands so all the user interface will remain the same.

That is good news. Now all we have to do is find some old Minitiuoners V1 to convert or build some Knuckers.

Thanks

I was wondering if there was any progress towards integrating the Knucker into the Ryde so it could be used at a repeater (GB3NQ).
We have DVB-S on 23cms, 70cms and 146.5MHz (although I cannot get in on 146.5MHz myself yet) and there is a spare slot in the system for a fourth Ryde which could be a Knucker and I have a Minituione V1 to convert.
The system works well with the quad split although there are some level problems and possible overheating to sort out.
