Hi,

I'm having some issues programming a band new FT2232H from Digikey.

Having programmed over 1,000 of these I can tell you that's not right!

Either you have other FTDI devices plugged which it found or what you think is an FT2232H just isn't one....

Thanks Noel,

Do I have to supply power, or is USB power enough?

Noel,

I popped the unit in a Minitiouner and programmed it ok. Do these settings look correct?

For future reference, the USB module must be plugged into a PCB to be programmed (shorts out 2 power pins) but power does not have to be applied to the PCB as the USB supply is adequate.

Difficult to say, presume you used the xml file from here for MiniTiouner https://wiki.batc.org.uk/MiniTiouner_ha ... USB_module or here for Knucker https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Knucker#USB_Module

Thanks Noel,

The successful programming (at least it said "finished") was with the module plugged in. Actually its a for Knuckler, the board is populated, just awaiting the tuner now.

I'm hoping my panel kit will also fit, failing that I'll get the rear panel reworked.

Is it intended to support the OLED display on the Knuckler, either now or in the future?

Justin.

I would not bother with the OLED. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Mine is showing burn-out, I expect most are by now. The rear panel is different from the V2 Minitiouner as the tuner has a different connector spacing.

Both of mine are still working fine, even after rough portable operation. They are very useful.

or, like me G8YTZ received the special Digikey version of the FT2232H with a critical resistor missing from the board!

They shipped a replacement which was here in 3 days

That's a point, is the additional resistor on the FT223H board required for the Knuckler as per the later versions of the Minitiouner?
