Probably the frequency offset.

I was als thinking this way, but is it ajustable in the Ryde?
I see it locking 20dbm mer, then it drops. Very stange.
Also tried avoiding HDMI port.
Also tried port A and B.

It produces some strange results - I have a C band LNB that is 280kHz low - that produced similar results, - lock but no picture. I have now written the 'offset' on the LNB...
Glad its working....

I have my Pluto and LNB both locked to a dual output Leo Bodnar. I have great difficulties receiving 66 and 33 Ks signals that others receive without issues.

I have been told it may be phase noise in the LNB, from the Bodnar mods, but could it also perhaps be due to offset, I can't work out if offset trim is applicable to a GPS locked LNB / Pluto...? Thanks.

My problem was not lnb related but straight 436MHz on Yagi.
Just for info.

Thanks Kenneth, perhaps I should have started a new topic, if the mods see fit please move my question to a new heading. I did realise your issue was not LNB related, and I am pleased you are sorting it.

You will still need to use the offset adjustment even with a GPS locked LNB. That is because the Tuner NIM itself is not locked and will have a frequency error. On wide signals this is not important but narrow signals need much more accurate tuning.

Ahhhah! Yes, of course, the whole *chain* needs to be locked, it's obvious now, thank you Colin, I'll play with the offset next time I see a suitable signal!

33Ks is much more elusive than 66Ks, so it all starts to make sense in my old brain.... ;)

EDIT: Has anyone attempted to lock the NIM? (Seeking perfection in an imperfect world).
