No Brian that's not good.
The Ryde screen should just sit there showing a red screen saying Not Locked.

Hi Brian

I need more information before I can investigate this.
  • Was it a new build?
  • What software version?
  • Does the same MiniTiouner work with another Ryde, Portsdown or a PC?

Footnote:

It does the same with keyboard/mouse unplugged, and MiniTiouner in any free usb port v2 or v3 black/blue.

Alarm Bells are ringing!

Why would you have a keyboard or mouse connected to a Ryde? If you use the recommended build, neither will do anything sensible.

What Raspberry Pi software are you using?

Hi Brian

I have just down a new build and not been able to reproduce this. Please provide some diagnostics by going into the menu, Select Ryde Utility and then select display test. You should get something like this:

Code: Select all

Your System Response:

pygame 1.9.4.post1

Note that you can copy code from a PuTTY or KiTTY window by highlighting it and then pasting it into the Forum.
