Having surprised myself and successfully put together a portsdown 4 and built the ryde rx …I have a query on the Ryde front panel board .
I have on the GPIO breakout board from the pi ..omitted R2 as stated
I am using the recommended TSOP2438
On the ryde schematic there is a JP1 listed ….but I have not found this anywhere on the Ryde front panel board ….does this link need to be in place somewhere…
https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Ryde_Hardware#Ryde_front_panel
I haven’t fitted the TSOP2438 yet ….but the Ryde seems to respond to the push buttons ok
Any suggestions helpful or otherwise gladly received….but I can find no reference to JP1 anywhere on the wiki pages

Re: RYDE front panel JP1 ???
Turn the board over and look at the other side... JP1 selects 3.3V or 5V IR sensors. Use a 3.3V sensor and set that jumper to 3.3V.
