Tim

I saw the correction advising that the indentation was four spaces. I used Notepad++ to edit the file and copied/pasted directly from the code section of the posting. After pasting the code I checked the indentation before rebooting.

I can get the report to stay on after the rest of the display has closed off in its original position by using the same method as Noel used for the MER. I tried using your code sample for MER to put it in the BL corner but substituted MER with REPORT; there was no attempt to load Long Mynd and no error. Just the console.

I'll have another play this evening. Thanks

Got the Ryde displaying the report where I wanted it and smaller than standard. Just right for repeater use.

The problem was fixed by turning on the 'display white space' feature in Notepad++ so that I could see the indents.

Thanks Tim.

Don’t
you
love
languages
that
rely
on
indenting?

That didn’t work! The Forum software removes leading spaces!!

Indenting is like something from the 1960s with punched cards. It's asking for trouble. I don't like it at all. No modern language should use it.

I remember waiting a whole week for my stack of FORTRAN cards to be processed. Only to find I had missed a space on one of them!

I'm glad you got it sorted Clive

Correctly configuring the editor seems to be half the battle but once you get it setup right it does most of the work for you.

Well, i also managed to messup my ryde...

I allready tuned my config a dozen times changing preset and frequencies but now suddenly i lost my OSD workings..
Still locking to a station you get a few second OSD but tthe time nor the hardware OSD are working anymore..

So pulling down the OSD pin 26 does notthing...

And i have checked over and over what i did wrong...

Any clue would be appreciated...

Weel solved my own problem...
I edditted the config file quit extensivly and that was my problem...
I went back to an old backup and started again witch did the trick...
Fun fact was that i still could change the preset but not the OSD settings...

But again make a good backup and go back to the backup if things go wrong.....

Hi there,
after a long time I made an update on the Ryde in our repeater.
Of course, I then had to reset the changes to the color of the background ("Not Loaded") and the font color.

Now I have also dealt with this contribution.
I got the permanent display of the MER value.

Now I ask myself whether it is not also possible to display all the information that is required when a signal is detected in one line (MER, callsign, frequency, bandwidth)?
Maybe with a background color.

I think I saw something similar at a presentation of the Winterhill screen ..
