Hi.
Few weeks on trying and error i still strungle with a problem.
The display size is completly solved by the choice of the right display in PI.
but still every time i reboot i get no pict.
I get auto and lock and even OSD but also Longmynd not loaded.
App restart in the previous version but the last update killed that work-around.
The only solution now is to login via Putty and start the menu. And than press 0 for receiving.
Than it works fine till i disconnect putty.
I went this week back to Pi3B witch (i know) is not a good idea but i needed the Pi4 for Portsdown4.
But the problems stayed.
anny idea yet?
Best regards
benno
Longmynd not loaded at startup.
Re: Longmynd not loaded at startup.
I have a very similar problem. Whenever I power up the Pi I am getting ‘Longmynd not Loaded’.
However it must be running because I can hear the audio from the Beacon and the overlay shows the MER and station name.
I logged in using ssh and by doing a ps -ax I can see that Longmynd is actually running.
However I can also see two instances of rydeplayer are running.
If I kill off the second rydeplayer then the picture appears and everything seems to be working.
I will do some more testing to try to see why there are two rydeplayers.
Maybe Dave has some ideas?
Colin.

Re: Longmynd not loaded at startup.
Answered my own question....
/home/Pi/.bashrc had multiple copies of the ‘#Autostart Ryde on Boot’ section. Deleting the copies has got it working correctly again.
This is on a card that had been updated.
Presumably this wouldn’t happen with a fresh build.
Maybe the update procedure is not checking for a previously modified .bashrc
Colin.

Thanks Colin
I'll take a look at that.

Re: Longmynd not loaded at startup.
Great Colin,
I found 4x starting the ryde...
Deleted 3x leaving 1 start and reboot.
great...
Seems to be solved...

edit:
made all display setting back to the best results. witch needed to reboot a few times...
Look like startup is 1000% ok now...
