Ryde and DVB-T/T2/S/S2

Post by Patrice » Wed Nov 25, 2020 10:37 am

Hi Dave,

The receiver Ryde is an excellent idee to use on repeter and at home.
Serit made a combo nim FTM4762H/FTM4762V compatible DVB-S/S2 and T/T2, is it possible in the futur to implement the Ryde (V3) with DVB-T/T2?
The DVB-T/T2 is most robust when is use in town.
could you ask to your developper to check if is possible or not.

Best regards

Hi Patrice

Thanks for pointing this out.

We actually already have a team working on this, and have an early prototype DVB-T receiver working using this tuner. However, there is a lot of work to do before it is mature enough to be released as a Ryde-style receiver for general use.

One note of caution - the DVB-S/S2 receive frequency range of this tuner may be limited to 950 - 2150 MHz, so we are not planning on a dual capable (DVB-S and DVB-T) receiver yet.

Thank you Dave, because the Paris's repeater will use an output DVB-T lite (1.7MHz BW) like R&D BBC
