HDMI separate sound output

Post by F1CJN_alain » Thu Nov 19, 2020 3:48 pm

As I am using a video monitor without sound, I by today on Ebay an "HDMI to sound 3.5mm SPDIF " in order to get the extracted HDMI sound separate.
Does anybody is using such a sound device with the Ryde HDMI output ?
If I get no answer, I let you know my test in some weeks due to the China transportation delay.

HI Alain,
I have been using a cheap eBay HDMI to composite adaptor for all of my testing as it works with my composite screen better than the pi native composite and the sound comes out fine.
