I have just released a Ryde software update that corrects the handling of LNB frequency calculations for C-Band LNBs (as used for 3.4 GHz reception). It also adds 4 new remote controls, and has a tidier SSH Console Menu.
This is a minor update, and if your Ryde is working correctly for you, there is no point in updating.
In other news, I have updated the Wiki https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Ryde_Receiver to include reference to possible RF interference from the Raspberry Pi 4 HDMI cables, and also the need to shut down the Ryde correctly, rather than just cutting the power.
Thanks to the 4 contributors of the new Remote Control Codes for doing the Beta testing, and of course to Tim MW0RUD for the frequency calculation bugfix.

Re: Ryde Minor Software Update 202011160
Hi Dave,
On the shutdown correctly point, regrettably the mains supply here is particularly unreliable. Is there anything that can be done to make unexpected shutdowns as safe as possible - e.g. disabling write caching? Also can we initiate shut down with a remote control button?
Mike

Re: Ryde Minor Software Update 202011160
From my testing of the Ryde and disconnecting the power causing problems, I found that a reboot from ssh into the Ryde menu cured the problems so a powerloss detection and reboot would work. Maybe an external powerloss detection circuit and a GPIO pin that causes a reboot? This could also act as a watchdog reboot with an external detector being kept off by another GPIO pin 'ticking'.
There is already a remote control button and GPIO pin for shutdown. See https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Ryde_GPIO_Connections
