Hi Clive
Yes tried that but still no joy.
Most strange but at least I have one minitiouner that works on both systems.

Re: Not Locked etc.
Well after a lot of pondering why one of my minitiouners wouldn't work on the Ryde but was ok on the Portsdown 4
I removed the tuner and replaced it.
Problem solved but still no idea why.

Hi Mike,
Did you replace the tuner with a new one or just take it out and put it back in again?

Yes Martin I removed the old tuner and replaced it with a new one.
The minitioune in question I had been using for a couple of years and worked fine on the computer
and with the Portsdown 4 on receive, however it wouldn't work on the ryde.
I checked all the usual ie usb module, soldered joints, voltages but to no avail
replacing it solved the problem.

Re: Not Locked etc.
I have been struggling with a Ryde that would work for a while and then 'Longmynd not Loaded'. It was one of two Minitiouners that did this. The fault could be brought on by tapping the minitiouner with a screwdriver handle.
The fault was eventually traced to the ferrite filters that are the little coils of wire in ferrite. The wire had not tinned well and the joints were dry although they looked good until really worked about.
