Volume setting with no RC

Post by PE5PVB » Sat Oct 01, 2022 5:18 pm

Hi,

Running Ryde now on my PI4 with 7" screen using Quicktune. Great! But can I increase the volume level by editing a setting in a file or sending a command, I have no remote control connected.

Yes!

The default volume is in the config file, you will need to restart Ryde after for it to pick up the new config setting.

Tim,

Thanks. Changed it to 100. Works great.
Hopefully someone is able to write a PC remote control tool or webinterface. I don't like RC's in my shack.

There is a terminal remote control you can use over ssh and there is also an android app remote control.

Ryde provides a network API with various endpoints including direct tuning (which is what QT uses) and button pushing (used by the 2 software remotes I know of).

Can you give me more information on remote controlling over SSH?

If you have an Android phone, you could use Tom, ZR6TG's, app. It works very well indeed.
