Use 7" touchscreen

Post by PE5PVB » Tue Aug 09, 2022 8:10 am

Hi,

Is it possible to use the 7" touchscreen (from the portsdown project) to watch and control the Ryde receiver?

Hi,

It is not possible to control the Ryde with the touch screen.

I have heard unofficial reports that watching works but this isn't an official configuration so if you have problems you are on your own.

If you want to watch signals on the 7 inch screen and control it from there, a solution might be simply to install the Portsdown Software, which does this as standard.

Does this also show H265 streams?

It shows a single H265 stream at a time, like the Ryde. I am not sure if there are any other additional limitations, apart from the remote control, but as a bonus you can control it via a web page.

There is a Wiki that answers all of these questions and many more that should be the first place to look https://wiki.batc.org.uk/BATC_Wiki
