500W UPS GWO - Repeater group?

I was donated this APC UPS as the original battery (7A/Hr Lead Acid) had reached end of service life. There is internal space for a pair of batteries but only wiring for a single. I hooked it up to my 12V Fogstar and it starts up without mains present and delivers AC mains. There is a warning buzzer that warns that mains has failed (it wasn't connected, so yes....!) and whilst helpful in its original application, it might be configurable, or add a switch to silence it.
Possibly useful to anyone who (a) needs a 500W UPS or (b) needs mains electricity to e.g. charge powertools/things that need 240V when away from the mains.
I have no use for one so its up for grabs for the cost of postage and packing. A new battery can be bought for under £20, or run if from what you have.
Seems a shame to re-cycle it....
