This amplifier needs 28V @25A
Alliexpress have just let me down !!
I ordered a 28V 800W psu and it got to China customs and then got returned to sender.

Still trying to contact them for a refund.......... or a replacement.

I am looking for a cheap alternative solution and so
I wonder what others are using to power this amplifier?

Also has anyone tried combining two?

Thanks in advance

Nick, this 'hack' will allow 28V and these PSU's are as cheap as chips on eBay. Just be careful, 400VDC inside!!
You have to isolate the PCB on the 'higher' one and set them both to 14V. I'm changing the caps on mine to 25V units 'just in case'.

hi Gareth.
Thanks for that.
The mod shown works and is used to increase a 12v psu to 13.6 or 13.8v.
You cannot go higher than about 15 volts because the electrolytic caps are only rated at 16v or so.
I probably need to find a 32v psu at 800w that I can reduce down to 28v..
There are plenty of these amps out thereeeing .
I remember about a month back seeing them mentioned on qo100 ie station using ......
But did not note callsign.

Why not just use one of the Dutch 28V ex-telecom PSUs ? They were on ebay from tautronix and I see they still are as item https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175080996660 the postage is a bit high but order several units and it won't be so bad.
