error on Langstone

Post by IU2KAC » Mon Apr 24, 2023 7:57 am

From today the Langstone doesn't want to hear of working.
I also tried to reinstall it and update the firmware, but nothing changes.
Tried with other Pluto too!

Error message says:
<Lang_TRX_Pluto.py failed to load see/tmp/LannstoneTRX_Pluto.log>

What does the log file say?

Also check your sound device. If it is not working it will cause this.

You need to connect to the Langstone as you did when you installed it and enter

more /tmp/LangstoneTRX_Pluto.log

I have the same problem here. From the log file I think it is a sound card problem. I have used two different sound devices and with Pluto and Lime so far, but no solution. Which sound card is proved to work?

Looks like the wrong sound device being used? Are you using the specified dongle? See the Wiki.

Hi All,

Hope you don't mind me tagging onto this thread but I have the same problem and any help would be appreciated.

I get this for the log. There's an error but I'm not sure how/if I need to deal with it.

This is the USB audio interface I have. Looked the same in the eBay pictures but this has black instead of white 3.5mm sockets.

Paul,
Your problem is not sound card related. The one you have should work OK.

The error log indicates that the GNURadio system was not installed correctly. This is needed for Langstone to work and is normally installed automatically by the install script. However internet problems can cause installs to fail.

I would suggest re-installing Langstone.

Hi Colin,

Thanks for the response....I did wonder that although before posting I did try a second install and got the same result. I guess I've been unlucky twice. I'll give it another go this evening when home from work.

Cheers,

Paul.
