Wrong Pluto Selected

Post by g0mjw » Tue Apr 13, 2021 8:55 pm

I have been puzzled for a while why my langstone doesn't select the right Pluto. It grabs the one on the network connected to my QO100 system and not the one inside the case. Dave, G8GKQ suggested it is because it looks for the router - is there any way to disable this? I can see where it is in the code and alter it but there is no make file so it isn't clear how to rebuild with mods.

Is it as simple as running build?

By default Langstone looks for the device name Pluto.local If both your devices have the same name then which one it chooses is network dependent.

You shouldn’t need to rebuild anything. But if you wanted to you just execute the build command.

The Pluto is now defined using the set_pluto command. This allows you to specify an IP address or a device name. Assuming whatever you set is unique then it should force it to use the correct Pluto.

It’s in the Langstone directory. (Assuming you have updated recently)

Log in using SSH

Langstone/update (if you need to update)

cd Langstone
./set_pluto
