Pluto not working in USB HUB

Post by g8lce » Wed Sep 30, 2020 9:44 am

This was what stopped my Langstone from working.
The powered USB 3 hub works well with Portsdown but was what stopped my Langstone working!
Connected the Pluto straight to my Raspberry Pi 4 and it all works.
With Portsdown 4 the hub still powers the Limemini, USB video in and other bits but the Pluto needs to be connected straight to the Pi

Strangely I have it working plugged into a hub as long as It is in one particular slot. Other devices do not work when plugged into any of the slot holes. It seems we need to find better quality hubs.

I think it is not the USB Hub quality but the way the Portsdown is controlled/programmed from the RPi as it starts the Langstone program. ( So I have been told )
Just plug it into the RPi.
