Reception of the EME beacon 1296.000MHz

Post by on5gs » Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:55 am

Hello Group,

For your information i compared my freshly built Langstone/portsdown PI4 with my FT736 on the 1296.000 EME beacon ON0EME using 6 meter dish pointing to the moon and a G4DDK preamplifier. Both receivers on a digital audio mixer.

I can't give you any measurements unfortunately, but the reception is quite okay imho.

Got the reception compared to my Yaesu FT736 using WSJT software, and both the Langstone and FT736 give exactly the same RX report on the ON0EME beacon :-) good news!

Anyone knows wether this Pluto is used for 6cm EME?
