Hi Group,
I just got my langstone up and running with the pluto and a cheap sound dongle called "3D"
It seems all is working. I hear the dots out of my FT736 transceiver on 1296MHz, but on 70,144 and 432MHz i hear nothing.
Also on 1296MHz i hear the signal from my FT736, but no reception on 70,144,432
Any thoughts?
Greetings Dirk ON5GS
Langstone installed. 1296MHz works. 70/144/432 don't work

Re: Langstone installed. 1296MHz works. 70/144/432 don't work
If you have done the frequency extension mod on your Pluto it should work down to 70MHz. If you have not it will only work down to 325MHz.
The two small antennas supplied with the Pluto are very poor on the lower frequencies. It may be the signal is too weak to hear. Try fitting larger antennas.

Thanks for the reply Colin! I will search how to modify the pluto

The links for the mod are in the BATC WIKI at https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Custom_DATV_Fi ... _the_Pluto
It is just a software mod so no hardware changes needed.
Alternatively I believe the satsagen spectrum analyser software does the mod automatically.

Be careful not to load the very latest pluto firmware - there are reports of the mod no longer working. Stick with what we know.
