I bought the "approved" USB audio device but get the no frequency display error - tried another device but still the same.

Any chance of a log file or error display to show what the problem is?

Hi Noel

This is from memory, so might not be 100% accurate!

SSH into the Pi.
cd Langstone
python SSB_TRX.py

That will try to run the SDR part on its own. You should see any error messages from GNU Radio.

If it works the audio device should start flashing.

That's right. I can talk you through it after work Noel and how to fix if you have something else - e.g. another audio device might interfere.

That looks like it can't find the Pluto to me, but I'm not good at this Python stuff....

I did think that but wasn't sure.

Anyway just tried another USB lead and it works :-)

The Pluto normally comes with a high quality USB lead with RF chokes on it. Best use that.

Hi Noel,

Glad you got it working. I have been busy in the garden this afternoon so only just checked the forum.

When I get a chance I will add some more debugging to the start process.

Yes - I seem to have a shortage of good micro usb leads (like only 2 in the shack) and I either get the yellow PSU flash or no Pluto!

Got 10's of Mini leads as used on MiniTiouner as I use them for programming the modules!

Anyway - looks like we're getting there :-)
