Filters or other hardware required?

Hi Folks
Hopefully a simple question.
When using the LimeSDR Mini, does one need to worry about filtering the output? Or is there some cleaver "adjustable software controllable filter" inside?
Also, regarding the Portsdown in general, when using a RaspberryPi+LimeSDR Mini, is any other hardware strictly required in order for legal transmission? Or do the other components simply just help with reducing rewiring when changing band?
