Re: 3D printed case for LimeSDR Mini
For those who are interested, I have an offer for the housing of the LimeSDR Mini in milled ALMg3 at a price of Euro 26,00 plus shipping. The aluminium enclosure will improve physically the USB connector joint. I did check the AL printing which showed up at Euro 170 per pcs. There will be no reduction on higher quantities if we follow up the printing way.
If somebody is interested in the aluminium enclosure let me know.

Re: 3D printed case for LimeSDR Mini
Chris,
I prefer to do it without a fan. The option is a small heat sink which goes on top. If this will be not enough you can mount the aluminium housing on a aluminium plate and the heat will go away. All hot spots inside have direct contact with the aluminium housing.

The enclosure has been ordered last week. Usually it takes 2 weeks.

I will be using 10 MHz reference as it drifts a bit, so may need to drill an extra hole but it looks very good.

Mike,
there should be no problem drilling a hole and fit a connector. Housings have just arrived after a delay of one week and the lime mini fit ok and the housing take the heat away.

Chris,
Yesterday I run a short test for an hour and put a small heat-sink on top. There is no need for a fan at all.
