A group of us are planning a small southern CAT meeting on Saturday Nov 9th at CHILTON VILLAGE HALL near Didcot and home to the RAL Rountable.

The event will open at 10am and there will be a bring and buy, a show and tell demo area, a Portsdown Clinic and hopefully a live OSCAR100 uplink.

We are planning to have a couple of talks - offers of presentations very welcome!

We would like people to register to give us an idea of the number of attendees - we will post a link on the forum nearer the event.

The village hall consists of a large hall, a small hall, a committee room and a small food serving area, with parking and a large attached recreational field so plenty of room for all activities.

Google map link https://goo.gl/maps/RnR7ux9omvK2 - Note that the interchange on the A34 at Chilton is now full access both north and south and not restricted.

Put the date in your diary now and offers of help to run the day will be most welcome!

We've created a registration form for CAT South.

https://batc.org.uk/cat19-south-registration/

If you are intending to come, please register your attendance so we can get a rough idea of the number of people to expect.

Admission for the day is free - tea, coffee and sandwiches will be available for sale by the Harwell radio Club.

Yes Noel.
I hope to attend - subject to Ann-Charlotte's approval and would offer seats to members in the car from Wolverhampton. E.g. G3JZF, G7MEG and G3UKV whose equipment doesn't work yet???
Ditto to the Eaton Manor, Shropshire ATV/Microwaves do on 14 December.

Just over 2 weeks to go, so a quick update:

The 2 talks will be from Gareth G4XAT who will talk about 3D printing in amateur radio and Dave G8GKQ who will talk about the LongMynd receiver and a general Portsdown update.

There will hopefully be a live Oscar 100 uplink demo and also a demo showing the difference between a traditional analogue FM system and a "black box repeater transmitter" running 1Ms DVB-S2 - current indications are that you need a 100 watt PA on the FM system to equal the 1Ms DATV system!

There will also be a Portsdown clinic and general fix it bench plus a show and telll demo area and a bring and buy sale.

Harwell Radio Club will be providing Bacon butties and tea and coffee - we've currently had 19 people sign up and we will be basing the catering on that number.

So please register here https://batc.org.uk/cat19-south-registration/ or you risk not getting a bacon buttie!

If anyone needs a 3-D printed case for their Lime Mini, let me know and I'll bring it along to the convention.
Saving on Postage and packing means that a crisp £5 will secure you one, plus any donation you feel suitable towards the BATC.

Send me a PM with some colour choices. I will be leaving Wednesday morning early to visit my son beforehand, so get your requests in early.

Don't suppose you'd be able to print something for a Jetson nano ? Something like this

And bring that along to Cat19 South 🤗

John,

I think this is the one Malcolm printed out several copies of. I am not using the one he gave me since I got a metal case from Geekworm. If you can afford it I recommend https://www.seeedstudio.com/Aluminum-Ca ... -4218.html from seeedstudio or the Geekworm case.
